User Experience Design

When we design for the User Experience (UX), we make sure the product is not only functional and runs well, but also looks and feels good to use and is for example fun for users to interact with. Thorough User Research is the key to achieving this: It ensures all features added to the system achieve the intended goals of the users (see: Use Cases). In addition, these insights validate the available features as easily accessible to users and that the design is aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly.

The User Experience Design process goes through iteration cycles in which prototypes are tested, feedback is collected and the design is improved step by step until a satisfactory version is completed. Applicable User Research methods include exploratory Interviews and Usability Tests.

Nice to know:

User Experience Design takes several aspects into account: functionality, user-friendliness, efficiency, intelligibility, the clarity of available interactions and functions and their ease of access. It lends itself well to Inclusive Design.
