Qualitative Interviews
Qualitative Interviews are conducted in an unstructured or semi-structured manner and collect opinions, pain points, needs and action steps of the users. The format and number of interviews per round is determined by the project or challenge at hand (usually 3-5 interviews per target group), then suitable interview partners are recruited from those target groups.
Guided interviews feature a tailored guideline that covers all important topics and questions. The interview is conducted by two people: A moderator and a note-taker who creates a protocol.
Nice to know:
Qualitative interviews are incredibly versatile and normally use open-ended questions, thus generating many and deep insights. They enable the discovery of new facts, inquire into opinions and backgrounds, develop ideas and test them together with the user. Interviews can quite easily be done either remotely or face-to-face.
