User Story
User Stories (also known as Application Scenarios) describe diserable functions from the user’s perspective in a standardized format. The focus lies on the personas and their needs, together with a real-life situation to explain why the function is relevant. This allows the summary of requirements for a system and their benefits in an easy-to-comprehend format that serves crossfunctional teams. User Stories can be described in words or visualized in the form of storyboards in drawn image sequences.
Nice to know:
Since the requirements captured in User Stories are placed within their actual application including the user actions that necessitate them, they can be regarded as an initial “verbal prototype”. They can also document initial workflows and interactions that are important for the overall concept of the application.
User Stories are easy to integrate into development processes - both remote and face-to-face - and are therefore ideal for documenting requirements in a standardized and comprehensible way.
Example: As [persona], I would like [function] for [goal].
