Co-Creation

Co-Creation is mainly used in the areas of product development and innovation. Participants can include various stakeholders, but also end users and users. Depending on the kind and scope of the challenge, they are split into groups which are then supported by the D-LABS experts to collect, discuss and even implement their own solutions, if so wished. These proposed solutions, which are in their nature highly user-centered, are discussed with all participants and serve as a starting point for the development of further ideas.

Nice to know:

The advantage of this method lies in the inherent user-centricity of the approach, since the group determines the direction and content of the discussion. Co-Creation doesn’t have to stop at discussing solutions, however. Participants can also be encouraged to implement initial ideas using appropriate methods and materials, e.g. by creating their own solutions as paper prototypes.
