Medium Fidelity Prototyping
A Medium Fidelity Prototype allows us to visualize ideas for new functions or the improvement of existing functions. The Mid-Fi Prototype provides an initial demonstration of the interaction flow and user guidance of a system as well as a basic visual design for each action step. Such prototypes are then tested with potential users to identify any shortcomings in the proposed interaction flows and to examine the desirability and usability of the designed functions.
Nice to know:
The opportunity to actively interact with a prototype captures the impression the system makes in the eyes of potential users. Based on their feedback on the prototype, functions are developed and improved on until a satisfactory version can be developed further into a higher fidelity, even more interactive prototype. As long as the Med-Fi Prototype is a digital product, this form of User Research can be carried out remotely. The user is then interviewed and enabled to interact with the system while the user researcher observes their handling of the functions.
